CLARIFICATION ON RULE 7.4 OF OLYMPIC GAMES RIO 2016 SELECTION POLICY

On the request of shooters/coaches, the Governing Body in its meeting held on 2nd July 2015 has clarified on rule 7.4 of Olympic Selection Policy as under:

“It is clarified that three merit points under Rule 7.4 of Olympic Selection Policy will be afforded to a shooter who wins a Quota Place in any event during ISSF designated Quota Competition. These three merit points  will also be available to the same shooter if he/she achieves a position which could have granted him/her a Quota but was not given the same because of ISSF Rules, which do not  allow him/her to get a Quota second time. This clarification/rule shall be implemented from first “Quota” competition - 2014 World Championship, Granada, Spain.”
