DECISIONS TAKEN BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF NRAI IN ITS MEETING HELD ON 31st JULY 2019 AT NRAI HOUSE, NEW DELHI


Any shooter who applies for an import licence must complete all documents required by NRAI to process import application. The NRAI will send an email to the applicant, in case application is incomplete. The applicant is required to complete formalities/submit remaining documents within 90 days from the date of issue of email by NRAI. In case shooter fails to submit the papers within 90 days from the date of issue of email by NRAI, the shooter will forfeit his/her right to obtain the import permit and no import permit will be issued to him/her. No reminder will be sent in this regard.
 
The condition of submission of copy of arm license to NRAI at the time of submission of application for import of weapon is waived. The shooter is required to submit the original arm license to custom authorities at the time of clearance of weapon. However, the shooter is required to submit copy of arm license to NRAI for verification of weapons in his/her possession which were imported by the shooters or acquired otherwise. This is mandatory as per Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports/Ministry of Home/DGFT requirement.
 
The NRAI will verify the credential of the Renowned shooter from its record, if copy of Renowned Shot certificate is not attached with import application.
 
 The above decisions are for the purpose of hastening the process of issue of import permits. It will apply on applications submitted from 1st August 2019 onwards.
 
 Rest of the terms and conditions for issue of import permits will remain the same.
 
The Skeet Mix Team event is included on the program of NSCC and this event will be conducted during 63 NSCC for seniors and juniors. 
 
The para matches are deleted from the program of all shooting competitions including NSCC. This was decided by the Governing Body of NRAI as there is a separate Organization which controls shooting activities including selection of teams for Para World Cups/para World Championship/Para Olympic Games.
