As per clause 7 & 8 of Selection Criteria, junior/Youth shooters are required to select one age category for National Squad (NSQ) and participation in selection trials/international competitions in the year 2023.
The 10M Rifle Men event is concluded and as per Selection Criteria, 50 shooters in open Senior category, 25 shooters in open Junior category and 15 shooters in Youth category are to be selected for Group A Trials. The selection for NSQ and selection of shooters for international competitions in 2023 will be done on the basis of the category selected by you.
Shooters who rank in more than one age category (senior/junior/youth) are required to inform NRAI about one age category (Senior, junior or youth) they would participate in Group A of selection trials during the year 2023. The selection of shooters for NSQ and international competitions will be done from Group A only for international competitions. Once the Senior, Junior or youth age category is selected, shooters will not be allowed to change the category, unless permitted by the Selection Committee of NRAI. For example, if a junior shooter opts for the junior category, then the junior shooter will be considered for selection in junior category only for international competitions and will not be eligible for selection in senior category or vice versa.
SHOOTERS COMPLETING THE AGE OF 21 YEARS AS ON 31st MAY 2023 OR BEFORE CANNOT OPT FOR JUNIOR CATEGORY. SIMILARLY, THE YOUTH SHOULD OPT FOR JUNIOR CATEGORY, IF COMPLETING THE AGE 19 YEARS AS ON 31st MAY 2023.
Please send an email confirming the category before 12th December, 2022, failing which the shooter will be included in the higher age category.
The Selection Criteria is available on the website of NRAI. Shooters are advised to go through the Selection Criteria and decide before 12thDecember 2022. No correspondence will be entertained after 12th December, 2022.
RANKING LISTS ARE ATTACHED HEREWITH. SHOOTERS MAY CHECK THEIR RANKINGS IN RESPECTIVE CATEGORIES.
