DETERMINATION OF AGE UNDER NEW ISSF RULES

The NRAI is receiving emails from junior/youth/sub youth/masters/senior masters and super masters shooters about their age appearing on our portal at the time of filing entries for competitions/trials.
 
It is clarified that as per new ISSF Rule, any shooter will remain junior/youth/sub youth/masters/senior masters and super masters during the year under which a shooter attains the age for higher category. For example, a shooter born on 1st January 2002 and attaining the age of 21 in 2023 will be treated as junior during the entire year of 2023 (age in 2023 as 21+). The entries of junior/youth/sub youth/masters/senior masters and super masters will be accepted as per this principal.
